Goals for Kettering Town Hall

My vision for a Kettering Town Hall (KTH) is:

1. A community of Kettering citizens who want to understand the truth about the big issues of our times with a depth needed for meaningful debate,
2. A deliberative democracy where members use discussion and debate to increase understanding and to reach consensus, when possible.
3. A school that offers many opportunities to citizens, especially youth, to become experts and leaders in understanding politics and big issues.
4. Structured like the Kiwanis Club — a member controlled organization with a constitution, elected officers, budgets, fund-raisers, projects, etc.,
5. The center of local politics, so that most everyone seeking election to political office will be expected to be an active KTH member.
